What are the different fast charge standards?

Before getting started, let's take a look at what we mean by "the load?
Charging is all about the power sent by the charger and received by the phone.
Fast charging is a widespread technique. It allows you to recharge your smartphone's battery very quickly by increasing its capacity. the power delivered to the battery. A standard USB port sends 2.5W to a connected device, while a more powerful charger will increase the battery's capacity. the power.

The general standards found on fast-charge chargers are :

  • USB Power Delivery :
    • Specific charging technology for iPhones
    • Extra-fast charging system used by Apple
    • Compatible with iPhones 12 series and above. For iPhone 11 series, PD charging speed limited to 18W.
    • Available on Apple devices with Lightning or USB-C connectors with the right car charger
  • Qualcomm Quick Charge :
    • Qualcomm chips widely used in Android smartphones
    • Specific fast charging standard called Quick Charge
    • Quick Charge 4+ (latest version) with maximum power of 100 W.
    • Designed to speed up phone charging and reduce the time it takes to plug the phone into an outlet.
  • Samsung Adaptative Fast Charging :
    • Standard used by Samsung smartphones in the Galaxy range
    • Maximum power: 18 W
    • Capable of regulating the charge to preserve the battery.
  • OnePlus Warp Charging :
    • Proprietary fast-charging technology for impressive recharging speed
    • Optimised recharging using a 65 W adapter equipped with an integrated circuit
    • Only compatible with OnePlus smartphones
  • Smart IC :
    • Distribution of available current between connected devices
    • Intelligent charger for charging every device
    • Optimised charging for tablets and smartphones
  • GaN (Gallium nitride) loader :
    • Produce less heat
    • Powerful, compact and secure
    • Fast charging
    • Less bulky
    • Lasts longer than a normal charger
    • Prevents overloading

NB: - Fast charging is not possible if the power of the phone is not the same as the power of the charger.
Example: A 30W Power Delivery charger will not provide a fast charge for an 18W iPhone 12.
- For chargers with 2 USB ports, the power is divided into 2 for the 2 inputs.
